Experience Essex from the water perspective and take a cruise on the Connecticut River. As boaters ourselves, we’ve logged many hours on this waterway and each time marvel at how very special it is: the time around sunset is magical!

You may choose between two completely different vessels to enjoy the River! Both are docked at the Connecticut River Museum, mere steps from our front door!

• Onrust: Sail into the past on a recreation of a 1614 Dutch Yacht. This unique vessel and Adriaen Block tell the story of an important piece of Connecticut River history. Enjoy the fabulous views of the setting sun from the River.
• RiverQuest: A stable eco-tour boat, offers a relaxing ride on the river. Sit back, relax and enjoy the seasonal wildlife and a picturesque sunset from what has been named "One of the Last Great Places”

Departure is at 6:00pm for either boat.
