Built in 1898, the Manor House Inn is the perfect location for both weekend adventures and restful retreats. Our enchanted corner of Connecticut will transport you back to simpler times to savor the picturesque New England countryside. The Alders Estate is convenient to modern amenities but tucked away on five acres in Connecticut’s breathtaking Litchfield Hills in a town where art and nature are savored and celebrated. We are among a handful of Green Hotels in Connecticut. EV parking is located one block away at City Hall.

Our adult-oriented, nonsmoking property is equally suited for rest and romance or Back Hills adventures and experiences. Digital detox is highly encouraged. Vintage books, board games, and lawn games abound. Relax in our spacious Great Room, Library, or Sunroom, or on one of our patios or Adirondack chairs scattered throughout the lawn.
