Property Overview

Woodbury, in the Western Connecticut Berkshires is a small town, established in 1673, that is centrally located for New England vacations and getaways. New York City is 2 hours away and Boston is 2.5 hours away. It is considered Connecticuts' antiques capital!

If you are looking for a picturesque, authentic New England getaway, look no further! Our chef owned and operated inn, restaurant and blues tavern is steeped in the local history having been built prior to 1736. Some time around 1754 it became an inn. Because we are chef owned, you can expect nothing short of a unique and memorable dining experience.

Our inn features 10 individually decorated rooms with a nice combination of historic character and modern amenities. Nine of the rooms are in the main house and a large king suite is in our Carriage House directly adjacent to the main house. We offer a handicap accessible room and all rooms feature air conditioning, flat screen tv's and free wifi.

All rooms are equipped with flat-screen cable television and air conditioning.

​The Carriage House at 1754 House offers a luxurious experience in the king suite, featuring a spacious and accessible bathroom with a separate water closet for added privacy. The suite is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and convenience, and it boasts two televisions for your entertainment needs. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a relaxing retreat, our Carriage House suite promises a blend of elegance and functionality for an unforgettable stay.
