Property Overview

The Craignair Inn offers a four-season quiet escape and a perfect home base for MidCoast Maine exploration. Our historic building has been witness to the dramatic tides here for nearly a century. We serve up classic hospitality with fresh and sustainable touches for a unique and welcoming stay in this naturally stunning landscape. We look forward to welcoming you at our MidCoast Maine bed and breakfast.



 

Dining

Our restaurant, The Causeway, is a celebration of our local community – the flavors, the farmers and the fishermen. Our menu changes seasonally and features both classic coastal cuisine and fresh, innovative dishes.

Rooms

The guest rooms are divided between the main 1928 building and the pet friendly Vestry annex building. The Main Inn and the Vestry each have 8 guest rooms all with private bathrooms. The ocean-facing inn rooms have never-ending views of the ocean, tides, stars, and island. All of the rooms have a clean, tidy, historic feel to them with strong and reliable WiFi.

Amenities

We offer lush Brooklinen towels and bed sheets to make your stay comfortable. A complimentary made-to-order breakfast is served each morning in the dining room. We have miles of trails and a natural swimming pool (the old granite quarry) right in our backyard. The Causeway restaurant serves up local, fresh flavors year round.
