Property Overview

If you've been dreaming of a cottage on a lake for your vacations or getaways, welcome to the Ames Farm Inn and Resort on the western shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. In less than a two-hour drive North from Boston metro you can be enjoying our peaceful setting that includes a quarter mile of sandy private beach on 135 acres!

Choose from lakeside cottages and cabins that offer 1 or 2 bedrooms. Or kick back in an apartment or private room. There is something for everybody here.

Families enjoy our resort because there is always something for the kids to do and that means parents can recharge or relax. Bring your boat for fun or fishing! Every  cottage has 2 parking spaces.  Docks are available for rent and there are two boat launches onsite.  It's a boaters paradise.

When you are looking for an ideal place for your group, reunions, retreats. Families and companies are welcome to inquire about planning an event for your group at our Lake Winnipesaukee resort during our Spring and Fall months. Let the 4th and 5th generation of the Ames family show you the time of your life!

 

 

Dining

Enjoy breathtaking views from our porch and dining room as you enjoy freshly brewed coffee, blueberry pancakes, and real New Hampshire Maple Syrup. Busy Sunday morning???? Many of our guests don't mind the wait... They enjoy sitting in a rocking chair on our porch, or playing shuffle board or ping pong in our green field. Looking to get out for mid-morning break or early lunch, swing by during the week for our breakfast specials. Excellent location of a seniors' day trip, so please don't hesitate to call for info.

Rooms

Take a step back in time and begin building memories for your future. Our lake front cabins offer a cottage colony vacation experience that is vanishing today. Many of our guests have been staying with us for multiple generations, a few married couples even met here. The cabins offer 1 or 2 bedrooms, bath with shower, living room, kitchenette. Towels and linens are provided. Enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We offer apartments in the house across the street which offer stunning views of the lake. We also have rooms for rent.
