Property Overview

Ski In and Out at The Inn at Whitney’s Farm

Majestically situated at the base of Black Mountain Ski Resort, nestled in the heart of Jackson, New Hampshire. As part of the Jackson Collection our guests enjoy the unique perks of three properties in one! Our sister properties feature amenities such as an indoor pool and hot tub, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a variety of restaurants and pubs—all accessible via our complimentary shuttle. Guests can take advantage of our onsite amenities, including direct access to Jackson XC ski trails, ski in & ski out access to Black Mountain, an outdoor seasonal pool, paddle boats, fishing ponds, and more. With our experienced staff hosting 40-50 weddings each year, our inn is also a premier destination for special events, offering full catering and coordination services. Our Shovel Handle Pub, housed in a beautifully restored 1842 barn, offers three levels of dining and live entertainment nightly. The inn is family-friendly and open year-round, with lodging options to fit every style and budget.

Shovel Handle Pub

The Shovel Handle Pub is beautifully restored post and beam barn built in 1842.

An actual working barn up until the 1970s, the original cow stanchions still hang in the barn along with artifacts from the farming days of Moody Farm.

With views of Black Mountain Ski Resort out our windows, sit fireside under “Whit”, our moose mascot, and enjoy three levels of dining. Family-friendly live entertainment is offered nightly. After dinner be sure to enjoy a New England classic- a complimentary roasted marshmallow by the campfire as you challenge your friends to a game of Corn Hole!

The Shovel Handle Pub also provides a great venue for weddings and parties up to 140 people.

Open from 5-10pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Live music nightly from 6pm-9pm.

The Inn at Whitney’s Farm is nestled in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest, offering a plethora of outdoor activities year-round. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, trout pond fishing, kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and yard games including cornhole, horseshoes, a chess set, and shuffleboard. Each evening, gather around our nightly campfire and enjoy marshmallows.

Spring, Summer, and Fall bring opportunities for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, tubing, bird watching, swimming, rock climbing, and horseback riding.

Winter transforms the area into a snowy paradise, with Black Mountain, Attitash, Wildcat, and Cranmore ski resorts just ten minutes away. Jackson Ski Touring offers the best cross-country skiing in the East, and snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice skating, and snowshoeing are also nearby. Come and experience all that our outdoor playground has to offer!
