In any season, there’s always a reason friends and family choose Barrows House in Dorset, Vermont. Summer brings days by the pool and on the tennis courts, while in winter guests enjoy time around the cozy outdoor fire pit. Bromley and Stratton Mountain offer excellent downhill skiing just 30 minutes away. The property consists of 6 acres of manicured gardens, the setting is peaceful and beautiful. With 8 separate buildings, a plethora of lodging options include luxury suites with whirlpool baths and fireplaces, cottages with multiple guest rooms, and free-standing chalets just a short distance away.

Fantastic dining in our onsite gastropub will make it worth the trip...along with a great selection of craft beers and cocktails.  The perfect place for weddings, rehearsal dinners, group gatherings and Southern Vermont vacations and getaways.

Barrows House Restaurant is an American pub with a modern twist on traditional New England tavern fare that pairs great food with craft beers. Our menus and beverages showcase Vermont's abundance of local products and celebrate its farms and producers. These quality ingredients are simply prepared demonstrating classic culinary techniques offering guests uncomplicated seasonal tastes of Vermont. Set against the historic backdrop of a circa 1803 building, the ambiance is at once warm and welcoming, sophisticated yet casual featuring Dorset white marble accents and historic black & white photos from the local Norcross-West Marble Quarry, one of the oldest in the country. Paired with our large outdoor terrace and colorful gardens, Barrows House Restaurant is the ideal setting for outdoor dining and all types of special events.

Barrows House and its cluster of eight buildings are centered on six acres of lovely gardens, expansive lawns and venerable trees. Lodging options include luxury suites with whirlpool baths and fireplaces, cottages with multiple guest rooms, free-standing homes with living rooms and outdoor seating areas ideal for extended family & friends.
