Built in 1814 in the Federal Style, the Main House is a nine-bedroom mansion which once housed the governor of Vermont and his family. Formerly the master bedroom, the Swift Room still has the old brass internal telephone that Jessica Swift once used.
Just up the driveway from the Main House is the six-room Carriage House, with updated amenities including wood burning and gas fireplaces, jetted tubs, and king size beds. The Carriage House has a steam room, sauna, and conference room. The Mansfield room features a private patio, which leads to a walkway weaving through the four-acres of manicured lawns and gardens.
Or you may prefer the more Victorian feel of the Gate House, a short half block walk from the Main House. It features a wraparound porch, turret room, ornate woodwork, and stained glass. The spacious well-appointed parlor is roomy enough for the whole family to play games and cozy enough for just you to curl up near the fire with a good book.
